It was gathered that a Ghanian man who parades himself as a pastor,
was recently arrested for defrauding about 4000 unsuspecting people of their money. According to reports, Apostle Amenu Joel of the Holy Spirit Community Chapel, Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana, scammed his victims under the pretense of issuing soft loans for their businesses and to buy cars. Joel was said to have cornered thousands of Cedis in the process, while also offering scholarships to the children of his unsuspecting victims. The Daily Graphic newspaper reports that most of Joel's victims were market women and hotel operators, even artisans.
